Munich Bites is an English guide to food in the Bavarian capital. It follows the latest openings, shares top tips and digs a little deeper to discover the stories and people behind the city’s culinary scene. It covers everything from market stalls to Michelin-starred restaurants, and looks to local producers in the region too. 

The blog is managed and created by Kate Mann, a freelance writer from London who has lived in Munich since 2016. When not blogging, Kate reports on culture, travel and current affairs in Germany for UK and US publications. You’ll find her work in The Guardian, Eater, Wanderlust, Condé Nast Traveler, Standart, The Sunday Times, National Geographic, Lonely Planet and more.

Before moving to Munich, Kate worked at the Slow Food Headquarters in Piedmont, Italy, and for different food NGOs in Berlin.
